Charles Wilson becomes a Founding Patron

Founder, Professor Sir Chris Evans is delighted to announce Charles Wilson as our latest Founding Patron.

Charles Wilson was a Chief Executive in the Grocery Industry, and his partner Rowena Olegario is an academic. Together, their philanthropy, amongst many other gifts, has supported numerous cancer related projects. Charles has lived experience of cancer and the challenges of a cancer journey, having undergone successful treatment for throat cancer.

Charles’ personal experience of cancer, his approach to philanthropy and his success in business make him a good Founding Patron of Cancer Awareness Trust. The support from Charles has ensured growth in team capacity over the past six months and will now see us take a big step forward in our partnerships and engagement of people living with cancer in the design of our global platform.
